Happy holiday to you, dear Ukrainians! Today we celebrate Vyshyvanka Day – a symbol of our spiritual and cultural heritage that unites Ukrainians!
For Ukrainians, the vyshyvanka is a national shrine, one of the brightest Ukrainian symbols, like the coat of arms, the anthem, and the flag. The vyshyvanka preserves the deep roots of the Ukrainian nation and its ancient identity; the embroidery encodes our genetic code, which connects generations.
The Ukrainian vyshyvanka is a symbol of the unity of Ukrainians. Diverse in embroidery but united in spirit, the Ukrainian embroidered shirt unites Ukrainians from Halychyna to Donbas, from Volyn to Crimea.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Vyshyvanka Day has gained special significance for Ukrainians. This day has become a symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit, a declaration to the whole world that Ukrainians are a free people.
So let the vyshyvanka become an impenetrable armor for our defenders and protect them.
We wish everyone a peaceful sky and a swift victory.
Glory to all who honor the history of Ukraine and preserve its spiritual values!
